Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events. Logos provided may be used for interpretation or promotion purposes. Video Resources![]() PDA has begun to use video as a way of telling the story of disaster recovery. Our first DVD was included with the 2005 PDA annual report to supplement the stories of response to the Asia tsunami, Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo and the 2005 hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. The magnitude of the tsunami and the 2005 hurricanes necessitated long-term, multi-year responses. Video stories help to chronicle the ongoing recovery efforts of these major disasters.
