CHORAL INTROIT Halle,
Halle, Hallelujah
Now Christ is raised up from death. He will
never die again.
All who follow his way shall have life in
him: hallelujah, hallelujah!
CALL TO WORSHIP (Responsively)
The Lord is our
strength and our song
and has become
our salvation.
God’s people are
singing a new song.
The right hand of the
Lord has triumphed!
The right hand of the
Lord is exalted!
We shall not die,
but live,
and declare
God’s mighty deeds.
Christ the Lord is
risen!
He is risen
indeed!
PRAYER OF THE DAY
* HYMN Jesus
Christ Is Risen Today – Red Hymnal 204
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison)
God of power and
might,
we stand
before the empty tomb with awe,
pondering a
love that is stronger even than death.
Can that love
save us? Can it forgive our sins and heal
our hearts?
Can it really be so?
It’s a day of new
beginnings, so we pray that,
by Your
Spirit, we might start afresh.
We pray in the
name of Jesus,
who is raised
from the dead, defeating sin,
once and for
all, for all and even for us.
Amen.
DECLARATION OF
FORGIVENESS

sins are forgiven. In Jesus our cries are

INVITATION to
DISCIPLESHIP
* HYMN
The Day of Resurrection – Red Hymnal 208
*AFFIRMATION
OF FAITH (Unison)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker
of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ His only Son our
Lord; who was conceived by
the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin
Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, dead, and
buried; He descended into Hell;
the third day He rose again from the
dead; He ascended into
heaven, and sitteth on the right hand
of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge
the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy
catholic Church; the
communion of saints; the forgiveness
of sins; the resurrection of the
body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
